Create or delete an anonymous account and send messages

Create an anonymous alias for your active character and publish messages to the server's anonymous channel.

Before you begin

  • Create and select the intended CoreRP character.
  • The character needs a configured Phone item to create an account and send messages. A phone number is not required.
  • An administrator must configure anonymous chat.

Create an anonymous account

Run /anon create. This command has no options.

CoreRP privately assigns the active character a random 10-character alias. Each character can have one anonymous account.

Send a message

Run:

/anon send message:<message> image:[attachment]

message is required. image is optional and works only when Allow images is enabled. The server chooses the destination channel.

CoreRP publishes Anonymous user ({alias}) with the message and optional image, then privately confirms Your message has been sent! A fixed 60-second send cooldown applies.

Anonymous messages hide your identity from the public post, not from administrators. Administrators may be able to review who sent a message and its full content.

Delete the account

Deletion immediately removes the active character's anonymous account and alias.

Run /anon delete. This command has no options and requires Allow account deletion to be enabled.

CoreRP confirms Your anonymous account has been deleted. Successful deletion starts a fixed 30-second cooldown. A new account receives a new random 10-character alias.

Troubleshooting

  • You do not have a citizen ID created. — create or select the intended character.
  • You need to have a phone in your inventory to use this. — add a configured Phone item.
  • You already have an anonymous account: {alias}. — use the existing alias.
  • Images are disabled for anonymous messages on this server. — remove the attachment.
  • Anonymous channel was not found! — ask an administrator to check the anonymous channel setting.
  • Deleting anonymous accounts is disabled on this server. — the account remains until deletion is enabled.
  • A cooldown response — wait for the displayed time before trying again.
